Serves: makes 12 large brownies
Ingredients
- 1 15oz can black beans
- 2 medium ripe bananas
- 3 medjool dates, pitted
- ½ cup cacao powder
- ½ cup + 2 tbsp oat flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3 tbsp walnut oil
- ¼ cup water or milk
- 1 tsp black walnut extract
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup walnut pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Add all ingredients except walnuts to a food processor and process until a thick batter is formed. Add in walnuts, and pulse to incorporate.
- Pour batter into a 6" x 8" parchment-paper-lined glass baking dish (you can use a larger dish, but the brownies won't be quite as high).
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before refrigerating. These brownies are best cold!
